Fundraiser at Nottoway a Success (9 April 2022)
We are thrilled to report that this was our most successful Silent Auction ever! With all funds tallied up, we have a total of $1930! Most importantly, we had 100% chapter participation this year!
Thank you for the overwhelming support! We appreciate all of you who donated items or cash, who worked to set up the auction tables, who worked the checkout table, who bid on the items and who ultimately paid for purchases. Together we achieved great success.
This year we presented a check in the amount of $2500 to LASSAR for the Youth Awards Programs, for a grand total of $14,134 given to date. Our primary purpose is to raise funds for the Youth Awards Programs. We are proud to support this worthy cause.

The Ladies Auxiliary Board of Directors Meeting was held in September in Alexandria. We discussed ways to increase our membership. We also exchanged ideas for procuring items for our Silent Auction.
Our current membership stands at 64, 46 of whom are Life Members.
There is only one member in the Lake Charles Chapter, one member in the Shreveport Chapter, and none in the Monroe Chapter. A good suggestion was made to contact DAR members in those cities as a source for prospective members. Do you know any women who might be interested in joining the Ladies Auxiliary in these chapters or in your own chapter? The only requirement is that they support our patriotic values. They need not be related to an SAR member by blood or by marriage.
2022 will be the year that we have 100% chapter participation in the Silent Auction! I am counting on each of you to make this happen. Now is the time to look for auction items. Anything patriotic is always popular. LSU-themed items are a big hit. Baskets based on a theme are also nice, as are wine baskets. Start now to take up a collection at chapter meetings to cover the cost of your chapter’s item. Cash donations are also always welcome. Remember that all auction proceeds go to a very worthy cause. We present a check every April to LASSAR to fund the Youth Awards Programs. To date we have donated a total of $11,634!
Thank you for your continuing support for the Ladies Auxiliary and for the LASSAR Youth Awards Programs.

Ladies Meet in Covington (30 Jan 2021)
The Ladies Auxiliary meet in person and via zoom, just as the Louisiana SAR did. Covid has been devastating to all, but the ladies remain steadfast in their effort to assist the Louisiana SAR in their mission to educate and reward the youth of Louisiana in Revolutionary War and Colonial history.
